Hammond Justice Center, the County Civil Division handles cases involving a monetary judgment from $8,000.01 to $30,000, all matters of eviction, declaratory judgments, foreclosure of mortgages (Claim of Lien), negligence, breach of contract, damages and other matters where a claimant may be made whole by receiving a money judgment.
