We are continuously monitoring developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID19).
The Flagler County Clerk’s office remains open for business. The health and safety of our courthouse, staff and the public is our top priority, but we must also strive to ensure continued access to the judiciary and to the Clerk of Court’s services.
The Chief Justice of the state’s Supreme Court, Charles Canady, issued an administrative order earlier this week setting forth the State Courts System’s response to the current situation. This follows Governor DeSantis’ declaration of a statewide emergency and the announcement by the World Health Organization that COVID-19 has become a “pandemic”.
The Clerk’s office is reviewing its emergency operations plans in the event it becomes necessary to implement certain procedures. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water and/or use hand sanitizer
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Regularly clean and disinfect “high touch” surfaces
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home if you are sick
The Clerk’s office may consider taking additional preparedness steps in keeping with advice of public health authorities.
